1. Gather Your Cleaning Supplies

Before you start, make sure you have the following items:

  • Soft cloth or sponge

  • Mild soap or detergent

  • Warm water

  • Soft-bristle brush (optional)

  • Towel for drying

2. Remove All Equipment

To avoid damaging your gear, remove all contents from your PortaBrace case. This ensures that you can clean every corner without obstruction.

3. Wipe Down the Exterior

Although our cases are tough, we don't recommend throwing them in the washing machine.  Instead, mix a small amount of mild soap or detergent with warm water. Dampen a cloth or sponge in the solution and wipe down the exterior of the case. Pay attention to any dirt, dust, or stains. For stubborn spots, use a soft-bristle brush or tooth brush to scrub them out.  The Cordura is tough so you can give it a little elbow grease.

4. Clean the Interior

Using the same soap and water solution, clean the interior lining of the case. For cases with padded dividers, remove them if possible and clean them separately. Be sure to wipe down all surfaces, including corners and seams.

5. Rinse and Dry

After cleaning, rinse the cloth or sponge with clean water and wipe away any soapy residue. Use a dry towel to absorb excess moisture and allow the case to air dry completely before reassembling.

6. Inspect and Store

Once the case is dry, inspect it for any missed spots or remaining moisture.
